The National Medical Commission (NMC) has released a new Gazette Notification regarding amendments to the Medical College rules. NMC is making all these changes to increase the availability of MBBS seats and provide opportunities for the NEET candidates in 2026.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">At present, there are a total of 823 medical colleges, including private, government, and semi-governmental institutions in India. These colleges collectively offer around 1.29 lakh MBBS seats.
