Breaking news, NEET 2026 examination conducted on 3 May, cancelled. Lakhs of students are shocked after the Re-Neet 2026 news comes. With the permission of the central government of India, the National Testing Agency decides to reconduct the NEET examination in a completely new schedule.
On 12th May 2026, via its official twitter handle, NTA announced that the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test was completely cancelled. In the released news, NTA also mentioned that the further investigation of this matter will be handled by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI).
Brief on NEET UG 2026 Cancellation
The NEET UG 2026 exam was conducted on 3rd May 2026. After the exam was held, some news was reported from Rajasthan that the paper was leaked as the Rajasthan SOG collected some guesses matching from the exact NEET 2026 paper.
After the probe started, the SOG investigated further with the collaboration of NTA. Now, straight to today’s news, NTA announced the exam cancellation based on the Central Government inputs on this matter.
Further Investigation on NEET 2026 By CBI
So far, the Rajasthan SOG and NTA were handling this case, but from now, the CBI (Central Bureau of Investigation) will investigate this matter and reach a conclusion. This decision is made by the Central Government of India. Nevertheless, from zero, CBI will investigate the NEET 2026 paper leak.

No Fresh Registration, Exam Center Choice for Re-NEET 2026
NTA has clearly mentioned that there will be no fresh registration for the Re-NEET 2026. Candidates who applied in the first attempt will be eligible to appear in the second attempt.
Not only registrations, the exam center choices opted in the first attempt will be the same. Students will not be given any option to choose new exam Centers.
