Who Can Apply For JEE Main 2027 (Eligibility Criteria)

Only eligible candidates can participate in the NTA JEE Main examination. So, before applying for the JEE, one must be aware of the JEE Main 2027 eligibility for registration set by NTA. If any applicant is not eligible for JEE  and still enrolls for the examination, their form will be rejected.

• There is no upper Age Limit for students to apply for JEE Main 2027.

Educational Qualifications

• Students must have passed class 12th with Physics and Mathematics (compulsory) and optional Chemistry, Biology, Biotechnology, or a Technical Vocational subject.
• Students appearing in class 12th with the required stream are also eligible.

• After that, enter all the necessary details and create login details.
• Then make login into the portal by entering the details created recently.

• Upload the necessary documents in the required size and format.
• Now, verify the details and click on the Submit option.
• Make an online payment through UPI or Net Banking for the final submission of the form.

JEE Main 2027 Attempt Limit

The Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main is one of the most popular entrance exams conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA). Candidates appearing for JEE Main are given a total of 6 attempts. Students can apply for JEE Main twice in a year (Session 1 and Session 2) and are eligible to appear for three consecutive years.

Let’s understand with the help of an example: if a student passed or appeared for 12th in the year 2026, he or she can register for the JEE Main 2027. After that, he or she has a total of 6 attempts (2 attempts in a year) for the next 3 years (2027, 2028 and 2029). In case if any student drops or misses any attempt or year, their attempts will be reduced from 6.

Note: Students who qualified the JEE Main are eligible to take admission in colleges like NITs, IIESTs, IIITs, GFTIs, State Engineering Colleges, and Other private colleges and are eligible to register for JEE Advanced.
