On 15 May 2026, the education minister of India Mr. Dharamendra Pradhan announced NEET examinations to be conducted through online mode (Computer Based Test). The NEET examination mode decision has been taken to improve the exam transparency and reduce the paper leak cases.
The National Testing Agency (NTA) is preparing to conduct the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test Undergraduate (NEET UG) examination through online CBT mode. NEET 2027 examination is likely to be held in multiple shifts and is expected to run for many days (5 to 6 days).
The National Medical Commission (NMC) has not officially made any changes to the NEET 2027 examination mode. However, to improve the NEET examination process, the authorities are working on it to eliminate all existing issues before the 2027 exam.
NEET 2027 Exam Mode Official Notification
NEET is one of the most popular entrance examinations in India, in which lakhs of candidates appear every year. Generally, entrance exams are conducted in two modes either online or offline mode.
